Our People

Every one of our team members makes a difference, one resident at a time. You see evidence of goodness all around, whether its holding a resident’s hand, listening to one’s fears, or pitching in to help a co-worker solve a problem. Together we are one, yet each is also unique and valued for your contributions to making Loretto a family.

Mary Gualtieri

  • Title: Independent Living Manager
  • # Years working at Loretto: 4 years of service
  • Career Progression: I have worked in the field of Elder Care & Human Services in the Syracuse area for over 25 years.  In my early career, I worked at The Cunningham Building as a Recreation Specialist in the Lifestyles/Activities Department.  I came back to Loretto in recent years, because I had such fond memories of my past work experience at Loretto.  For me, there is  something very special about the Loretto spirit and mission  -- it really resonates with me!  My current work with older adults at The Nottingham is very rewarding and I feel very much at home working here at Loretto.
  • Outside of Work: I am active in the Jamesville-DeWitt community  where I live with my husband Clete and youngest daughter Laura, a high school Junior.  I am a member of the United Way Young Leaders and I am involved in area organizatons that support individuals with Developmental Disabilties.

"I LOVE the residents, I love spending time with them, hearing their stories and when they are down or don’t have families here, I’m there for them. It’s a pleasure to work here and I plan to retire from Loretto after another 15 years here. [unless I hit the lottery J then I’d still visit.”] I LOVE what I do."
