Your Time Can Make a Difference

Volunteers are welcomed throughout the Loretto family of care. Depending on each site’s and program’s needs, volunteers will help with a wide range of activities including:

  • 1 to 1 Visits
  • Providing escort to activities
  • Going on outings like the State Fair, Local Stores, Ball Games, etc.
  • Assisting residents with hobbies and recreation activities
  • Serving holiday meals
  • Sharing your own talent
  • Reading to residents
  • Working the Gift Shop

Many of the elders at Loretto don’t have families, and volunteering here is an opportunity to give back to the community and help those in need. Our volunteer program allows you to connect emotionally to the residents and give them a good quality of life through their stay at Loretto. People of all ages and backgrounds have given their time and support to our residents and have made a meaning difference.

The Loretto Guild

The Loretto Guild is an organization of volunteers founded on June 13, 1946 with the mission to enhance and enrich the lives of Loretto residents, and to provide support and assistance for their comfort and well being. For more than 65 years, Guild members have maintained an ongoing commitment to provide or fund services, amenities, programs, and purchases that have a positive impact on quality of life at Loretto. The Guild has purchased wheelchairs for residents of Loretto skilled nursing homes, sponsored ice cream socials for residents of Loretto housing sites, and organized special events and fundraising activities that benefit various Loretto programs.
